In case you don't know (duh) or you don't remember (that's normal) or you're blocking out the idea (healthy, you moved on with your life) Spackenkill is a location and a school. The name means "Go to Hell, you Indians" no just kidding. History shows that the Europeans came to the region, starting with that guy on the Half Moon ship, drunken olde Henry Hudson. People started settling (can we say, alien invasion? I'm invading your personal space) and they spoke funny. The name they gave our special location means, in Dutch (not Deutsch), the stream which is speaking, or the talking stream, or the babbling brook, sort of like what I'm doing now.
